Rebuilding the Walls

What do we do when everything seems to go wrong in our lives?  A bad day, month, year or decade?  What do we do when our relationships fail, when our lives do not follow the dream we once had for it?  When everything is turned upside down or inside out, and we come out of that time not knowing which way is up, or even who we are anymore.  Maybe in your life it’s not everything that is wrong, maybe in one area of your life you are struggling, and can’t seem to move forward.  The Israelites had lost everything, family, religion, homes, and jobs.  But God’s plan was that they rebuild their culture and lives according to his plan.  Nehemiah was one of the men God chose to lead the return to Jerusalem.  He was a tremendous leader, and this book is a great example of Godly leadership, but it is also a tremendous lesson in restoration.  We are going to look at God’s desire for restoration and healing for the Israelites and for us today.
